Important - Allocation Notice: We have limits on the number of claims we can manage each month and allocate our consultants on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure we can assist you, please return your engagement agreement as quickly as possible - no later than 24 hours after you receive it. If we receive information after starting your claim that confirms you may have misled us, we reserve the right to cease to act. In those circumstances, only 50% of any upfront fee is refundable. It is very important you tell us the full truth about your circumstances and disciplinary history.

What Your Fee Covers - and What to Expect

Conciliation Conference

Your conciliation conference is conducted via Microsoft Teams and typically runs for approximately 90 minutes. A Fair Work Commission conciliator facilitates the discussion between you and your former employer (or their representative).

If a settlement is reached and you sign the settlement deed, payment is made within 7 working days of signing. Where we deduct our fee from settlement, the balance is transferred directly to your nominated bank account.

Employment Termination Payments (ETP) & Tax

Where your settlement includes an Employment Termination Payment component, your former employer is required by law to withhold tax before paying you. The current ETP tax withholding rate is 32% on the ETP component. This is withheld by your employer - not by us - and is separate from our fee.

Your tax agent can advise whether any offset or refund applies based on your personal tax position.

Work Outside Standard Scope

Our fee agreement covers all aspects of your claim from the initial eligibility assessment right through to representation at conciliation. If your matter requires work outside the standard scope - such as responding to an employer's jurisdictional objection or attending a directions hearing - this additional work is charged at $330 inc GST per hour. We will always discuss any additional fees with you before commencing that work.

Your Three Obligations

To allow us to act for you effectively, we ask three things: tell us the full truth about your circumstances and disciplinary history; remain reasonable when evaluating settlement offers; and honour your fee agreement. These commitments are the foundation of a successful claim.
